1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set forth the standards and rules governing your use of The Lucky Ladle website located at https://theluckyladle.com/, our related online touchpoints, and your participation in our physical venue experiences in Australia. They apply to browsing our site, making reservations, dining in our bistro, and joining our friendly chip games and offline poker evenings held exclusively on-site in our card lounge.

By reviewing these terms before you visit, you help us maintain a relaxed, sun-drenched Australian bistro atmosphere that is safe, respectful, and enjoyable for all guests.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using The Lucky Ladle website or by booking or attending our services, events, or offline poker nights, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with any additional policies referenced here, including our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should refrain from using this website and from booking or attending our services or in-venue experiences.

3. Eligibility & Guest Conduct

Our bistro, community events, and offline poker nights in the card lounge are designed for adults who can comfortably enjoy food, drinks, and social chip play in a responsible way.

Age requirement. Access to our offline poker evenings and participation in late-night or bar-focused events is limited to guests who are 18 years of age or older. We may request proof of age at any time and reserve the right to deny entry or service if suitable identification cannot be provided.

Respectful behaviour. We expect all patrons to contribute to a welcoming, friendly environment. This includes:

  • Treating staff, other guests, and neighbours with courtesy and respect
  • Following reasonable requests or directions from our team relating to safety, comfort, and venue operations
  • Refraining from aggressive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate conduct
  • Enjoying alcohol and social activities responsibly and in accordance with applicable Australian laws

Right to refuse service. The Lucky Ladle reserves the right, at our reasonable discretion, to refuse service, deny entry, or request that a guest leave the premises if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or inconsistent with these expectations.

4. Reservation Policy

We provide table, event, and community poker reservations to help you plan your visit and ensure a smooth experience.

Availability and confirmation. All reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. When you submit a request through our website or via any other approved channel, we will confirm your reservation using the contact details you provide, such as email address or phone number. A reservation is considered accepted only once you receive confirmation from us.

Changes and cancellations. If your plans change, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible using the contact information or links provided in your confirmation or via our Contact Us page. Timely updates help us manage seating, staffing, and fair access for other guests.

Group bookings and events. For larger groups, special events, or dedicated poker tables in our card lounge, we may apply additional conditions, such as minimum spend, set menus, or earlier confirmation deadlines. Any such conditions will be communicated to you at or before the time of booking.

6. Community Poker Participation

The Lucky Ladle hosts casual, in-person Texas Hold'em offline poker evenings designed purely for social, entertainment, and community-building purposes within our physical card lounge.

Social chip play at poker tables. Our offline poker nights are strictly recreational, with chips provided for friendly chip games at live felt tables. This means:

  • Play uses chips provided for social chip tables in the card lounge only
  • Recognition stays symbolic or community-oriented (for example, friendly titles or leaderboards)
  • Our events are recreational offline poker experiences, not online gambling platforms or digital casino software

Prizes and recognition. Where we choose to recognise friendly competition, any prizes are intended to be symbolic or community-oriented in nature (for example, friendly titles, leaderboards, or tokens of appreciation) and remain part of a social offline poker experience in our card room.

Conduct at the table. To protect the relaxed, social spirit of the game, all forms of unsporting conduct, cheating, collusion, or disruptive behaviour are strictly prohibited. We may, at our discretion, pause or end a game, or ask a participant to leave a table or the venue, where behaviour undermines fairness, safety, or guest comfort.

House guidance. Our team may set or clarify house guidelines for game pace, table etiquette, or rotation so that as many guests as possible can enjoy the experience. By joining a poker table, you agree to follow these reasonable instructions.
